Bangladesh announces assistance for the flood victims of Myanmar
The government of Bangladesh has allocated over 0.5 million USD to extend its support to the ongoing rescue and relief efforts for the flood victims of Myanmar. Bangladesh will provide medicines, water purifiers, clothes, tents and blankets as an expression of solidarity from the people of Bangladesh to the people in distress in Myanmar.
Notwithstanding the challenges of flood and further determination in its own territory, Bangladesh chooses to standby the distressed people of Myanmar to ameliorate their situation.
Given the widely acclaimed flood and cyclone preparedness of Bangladesh would be happy to share her experiences with Myanmar. The staff of Embassy of Bangladesh in Myanmar has donated there are day salary as a token of their concern for well-being of the flood hit people. Bangladesh community in Myanmar is actively engaged in mobilizing rescuers for the same purpose.
