Ambassador Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury
Ambassador Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury joined Bangladesh Embassy in Yangon as the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar in March 2018.
Prior to becoming Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar, Mr. Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury was the Director-General of South East Asia Wing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh from August 2015 to February 2018.
He was also the Consul General of Bangladesh in Istanbul, Turkey from December 2012 to July 2015.
A career Foreign Service Officer, Mr. Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury served at the Bangladesh High Commission in Brunei Darussalam, Bangladesh Embassy in Rome, Italy and Bangladesh High Commission in London, the United Kingdom in different capacities.
He also served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Dhaka as Assistant Secretary and Director.
Ambassador Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury holds BSc Engineering degree from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, and Masters in Geopolitics and Global Security degree from the University La Sapienza, Rome, Italy. He also studied Italian Language and Culture at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, Italy and participated in the course on International Law at the University La Sapienza, Rome, Italy. He did Chevening Fellowship on Peacekeeping and International Capacity Building at the University of Bradford, UK. During his professional career, Ambassador Chowdhury participated in many professional training courses, seminars and conferences.
He is married to Ms. Farzana Nasrin, and they have two children.
